Magnum Stimulation Valve
Description:
The Patented Magnum Stimulation Valve incorporates a mechanically actuated flapper. Flapper valves have been utilized in the oilfield for many years, but this is the first time a flapper valve has been designed to be run with the casing string while maintaining the full bore integrity of the casing. The Magnum Stimulation Valve is a simple tool that offers many advantages over cast iron and composite bridge plugs. The Magnum Stimulation Valve is designed to be run with the production casing and positioned between perforated intervals, sliding sleeves, or slotted liners. The Magnum Stimulation Valve is mechanically shifted with a shifting tool on E-line or coiled tubing to isolate zones of interest. Then, the zones of interest can be perforated in the same run eliminating multiple runs, consolidating fracture stimulation, and in turn, saving the customer time and money.

Advantages:
  • Simple design and function
  • Allows for unlimited number of zones to complete
  • Full bore access with no restrictions
  • High temperature and pressure ratings
  • Eliminates several E-line runs
  • As strong as production string
  • Eliminates cast iron or composite plugs
  • Eliminates drill out with coiled tubing motor or rig
  • Engineers and geologists plan casing details
  • Can be converted to permanent plug with cement
  • Allows faster flow back of multiple zones
  • Can be utilized as marker joints
