The Magnum Frac Sleeve (MFS) is a ball activated shifting sleeve,
typically used for diverting fluids to different sections of a well. It can be
placed in a vertical or horizontal position. When the shifting ball is on
the seat, the area below the MFS is immediately isolated, then applied
pressure shifts the ball, ball seat, and inner sleeve down into the open
position, thereby diverting fluid out the side ports. By utilizing different
ball seat sizes and shifting ball, up to 11 DAFPS tools can be run in an
assembly hookup.
